Bear's Story...
Bear is in foster care and will be transported from TN to the NE upon adoption. Alpha Dog Transport brings our rescue dogs north after adoption weekly leaving Friday night and arriving at one of their several stops in PA, NJ, CT, VT on Saturday. They charge $125 for their services and is paid to them when you claim your pup. They also hand off all the dog's vetting records. An adoption fee will also apply to cover the cost of that vetting and health certificate required by the transport.

Bear is an 11 wk. old rottie mix and weighs 10 pounds. He just came into rescue and we are working on crate training. He is doing very well. Bear is a very outgoing little guy and absolutely loves children.

Pups this age should not be left alone more then 3 hrs. at a time. This for crate training /house breaking and the bonding process.

Bear has had 2 parvo/distemper shots and a bordatella vaccine (kennel cough). He is too young to neuter. That should be done around 6 mo. of age.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bear, a Providence Rottweiler puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rottweiler for sale in Providence, or seeking a Rottweiler puppy from a breeder in Providence.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Providence already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Providence breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rottweiler breeders who help with Rottweiler rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Providence paves the way for another one to be saved.
