Daisy's Story...
If you are interested in viewing or adopting this kitty, please go to www.orphankittenrescue.com/adopt and fill out an application.

This kitty came to VOKRA extremely thin and very hand shy. She was not amused. Her fur was matted, and she was not eating a healthy diet. She is now eating well and putting on weight, and she allows herself to be picked up and skritched…especially on the forehead or neck. She talks a lot and is getting pretty bored being in a small room. I think she is ready for just the right home. Well, as soon as she goes in for a bit of a shave and to see if she is spayed or not. She'd do best in a home with no small children and someone familiar with Persians or willing to be patient. If you would like to meet her before the alterations are done, please put in an application right away!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Daisy, a Vancouver Persian cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Persian for sale in Vancouver, or seeking a Persian cat from a breeder in Vancouver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Vancouver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Vancouver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Persian breeders who help with Persian rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Vancouver paves the way for another one to be saved.
