Chester's Story...
Chester is a spunky, happy and out-going pup who is looking for his forever home. Chester found his way into Cleveland Animal Control (CAC) as a stray so not much is known about the first chapter of his life, his age, or where he came from. CAC "guesstimated" he is between 1-2 years old and in my experience with Chester, I wouldn't be surprised if he is closer to the 11-16 month range. At the kennel, Chester won over many of the volunteers with that smile of his and quickly became a favorite. He aced the SAFER (Safety Assessment for Evaluating Rehoming) assessment and has proven those results true in his current foster home which he shares with a 2 year-old male Boxer. Chester enjoys playing tug-o-war and wrestling with his foster-brother but finds cuddling up next to you more his style! He is so, so affectionate and when he looks up at you, you can see in his eyes how grateful he is to have been given a second chance at life.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chester, a Nashua American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Nashua, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Nashua.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Nashua already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Nashua breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Nashua paves the way for another one to be saved.
