Here is Mona, She is a sweet girl who was rescued from Brooklyn Navy yard, She was a supers cat and when he was fired from his job he left Mona behind. It is a sad story as she is such a sweet cat who really wants to live in a home, she was living under the porch of the home she came from for quite a while. She would run up to the guy who rescued her when she heard his voice and rub up against him for human contact. Mona is Felv+ but in very good health. Please consider adopting this lovely female, she is truly a love bug. Mona will need to go to a home as an only cat or to a home with a fellow Felv+ cat.
Rescue Group Info...
Infinite Hope is an all-volunteer IRS-approved 501(c)(3) not-for-profit animal rescue. Since its inception in early 2004, Infinite Hope has placed over 1,000 animals in permanent and loving homes. Because we are an all volunteer organization 100% of our funds goes towards the housing, care and placement of our animals.
Our Board and volunteers donate their time and resources toward the cause of caring for and finding homes for abandoned animals, eliminating the problem of stray, unaltered animals in New York City, and caring for special needs animals until a permanent or foster home can be found.
While in our care, all of our animals receive high-quality food, shelter, positive interaction with our volunteers and all necessary medical care, including a complete vet exam, spaying and neutering, (if 5 months of age or older) and testing for communicable feline diseases (FIV and FeLV).
We are fortunate to have a small adoption center at Hope Veterinary Clinic at 390 Atlantic Avenue, Brooklyn. In addition we have a foster network so that our animals can receive care and attention until we have placed them with a loving and permanent home.
All adopters are carefully screened. Volunteers spend time with potential adopters and available animals, to ensure a good match for all. We are committed to a 100% “no-kill” philosophy and will not accept animals beyond our capacity to care for them.
Play dates with our animals are by appointment only. This may either be at a vet clinic or foster home depending on where the animal currently resides. If you are interested in adopting any of our animals please send us an email at: infinitehope@infinitehoperescue.org
Potential adopters are required to complete our adoption application; once an application has been approved, the adopter must sign our adoption agreement. If adopting a kitten or puppy under 5-6 months of age, the adopter must agree to spay or neuter once the pet is old enough for the procedure.
Additionally, we require a minimum donation of $150 per cat and $200 per dog. This amount represents just a small fraction of the actual costs we incur for each animal under our care, and helps us to continue our ongoing efforts.
