Cara's Story...
Why Choose me?
Cara is a recent mama still full of milk. I asked an Animal Control officer about her, and she said she looked for Cara’s puppies without success. She also said that Cara didn’t act like her pups were in the area, so it could be that she was dumped. All I know is that Cara is a sweet and gentle girl that adores attention. She likes being close and would stand beside me with one paw gently placed on my foot. Cara is the color of caramel. She has some thinning areas of hair on her back, but with care and good nutrition, a fuller coat should return. Cara’s pre-puppy body should also return with time and exercise. This gentle beauty needs someone to love and care for her. She is a darling and will return the love she receives many times over.

Act quickly to adopt Cara. Pets at this Shelter may be held for only a short time.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cara, a Athens American Bulldog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Bulldog for sale in Athens, or seeking a American Bulldog dog from a breeder in Athens.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Athens already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Athens breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Bulldog breeders who help with American Bulldog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Athens paves the way for another one to be saved.
