Pinkie's Story...
Hi, this is Pinkie! This adorable little girl is a fawn pug who thinks she is a lab. Pinkie is an energetic 1-2 year old who is still a puppy on the inside. She is recovering from a few minor issues after having puppies, but is on antibiotics and is doing well. And besides, Pinkie isn't letting that slow her down one bit - she just loves to play! Even with all that running and jumping, she still finds time for the infamous 'pug cuddling' you would expect, and follows her foster mom everywhere, even up on the bed. Pinkie gets along great with her foster brother (a lab) but her energy can be a bit off putting for cats. This silly little girl is still getting used to the whole 'leash' routine, but enjoys the fresh air and exercise. If you are wanting a pug with some pep in their step to keep up with you, come say hello to Pinkie, she would love to meet you! Go to to fill out an adoption application today!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pinkie, a Austin Pug dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pug for sale in Austin, or seeking a Pug dog from a breeder in Austin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Austin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Austin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pug breeders who help with Pug rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Austin paves the way for another one to be saved.
