Meet Gizmo! Gizmo weighs 6.3 pounds and an adorable little dog. He is 11 years old and such a gentleman. He is great with other friendly calm dogs, good about being carried in a purse or your arms. He is very mellow and slightly shy - he hides from bigger fast loud things, like children. He's in a foster home with a big senior dog and cats and they get along great! He loves soft dog beds, sunbathing, napping next to you on the couch, treats, and looking cute. He's a good little watch dog too!

It took Gizmo a couple of weeks to be housebroken in his foster home, but now he's perfect as long as he gets to go out on a schedule. He loves sniffing around his yard, but does not walk on leash - you can follow him though! He may mark when he visits new places, but he looks very stylish in a belly band and doesn't mind wearing one. He's not a lap dog or a snuggler, but he enjoys hanging out nearby. It took him a couple of weeks to be comfortable enough to play (for a few seconds) when he thinks no one is looking -- see how happy he is and that moment in his video below! 

We rescued Gizmo from the shelter, where his elderly owner had left him, saying they could no longer care for him. He got neutered, microchipped, a dental cleaning with extractions. He is missing most of his teeth so his tongue does stick out, and he's a bit of a selective eater. He has a low thyroid which is easily managed with an inexpensive twice daily pill that he eats easily in a pill pocket, and possible allergies that we're working with a vet dermatolgist to get resolved before he goes to a new home.

Gizmo is looking for a kind, quiet, indoor home with lots of soft beds, sunshine, TLC and love!
