Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Whiskers is the newest tiny terrier addition to AAP. He weighs in at about 7 lb. and is just 1.5 years old. This little one is the definition of sweet, gentle and loveable. We basically intercepted him just as he was being given up at animal control because the young woman who owned him was unable to keep him.
So while we don't know very much about him yet, we can tell you that we haven't yet heard a peep come out of him, he's very content to be held and he walks super on a leash. He seems to be fine with other dogs as well as cats and just wants somebody to take him home so he can return to a normal life.
You can meet little Whiskers at Wilmette Pet Center (625 Green Bay Road) anytime during store hours 7 days a week. Although you may want to adopt him on the spot, please know that you will have to go through the application process first.
Whiskers adoption fee of $325 includes vet exam, heartworm test, distemper combo vaccination, rabies and bordetella vaccinations, routine deworm, microchip and neuter.
