Joey - VIDEO's Info...
|Breed:||Australian Cattle Dog||Color:||Merle||Age:||Young|
|Size:||Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)||Sex:||Male|
I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.
Joey can be described in one word: AMAZING!! You are looking for an intelligent, active dog who loves to do have a job? Then Joey is the right guy for you! Joey has been professionally obedience trained and is very well behaved. He is a fast learner and loves to figure out things. Joey would do great with somebody who is enthusiastic about having a dog partner to work out with, explore and make Joey part of daily excursions. Joey will bring you the ball and drop it in front of you with a big smile. As you can see in his video, once comfortable with someone, Joey bonds deeply and is very attentive. Joey takes a while to warm up to new people, he is suspicious of strangers, like so many Cattledogs. We are looking for a confident, common-sense person/couple who will give Joey the time and patience he needs in new situations.
Joey also loves to give kisses and snuggle up. He is the perfect combination of activity partner and snuggle bunny. Joey is a treasure of a true Cattle Dog! Joey's adopters will receive free in-home training lessons at placement. Joey will do best in a home with yard access.

Rescue Group Info...
Australian Cattle Dog Placement is a sister organization of the non-profit dog rescue organization, Pacific Coast Dog Rescue. We strive to ensure, the most careful and appropriate placement for our dogs into loving homes.
AUSTRALIAN CATTLE DOG PLACEMENT CAN NOT AIDE YOU BY TAKING IN YOUR CATTLE DOG (MIX). Our rescue is full. We can explain to you, how to properly place your dog or a dog that you rescued.
We show our dogs after having received and approved an adoption application, which you may request. Our dogs can be met by appointment and the location is our boarding facility in Burbank. You will be provided with the address after your application has been approved. Meets/greets are typically around 1 hour and we will show you the dog's training and you will be able to interact with the dog. If all goes well and everyone is comfortable, we will then proceed by visiting your home to ease the dog into your home and teach you how to handle the dog with the training. We typically bring the dog to you for about 4-5 visits prior placement, which also equals free training lessons.
The adoption donation for all of our dogs is $300. All dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped prior to adoption. Many have received professional training before placement.
WE DO NOT ADOPT OUTSIDE OF THE GREATER LOS ANGELES / ORANGE COUNTY AREA.
Through a careful screening process, we make the best possible choice for our dogs to place them with compassionate individuals and families. We often take a bit longer than other rescues organization to place our dogs but we also have very few returns. We do, however always take our dogs back (even years later), if the adopter can't keep the dog.
We offer a life-long commitment to our dogs and adopters and we are always there to answer any questions and offer training advice/help.
