shadow's Story...
Shadow is a shy donkey who we rescued from a low end horse auction. She was just left at the auction yard and faced a not so good future. Then we got her and she will never know the horrers that she could have faced.
Shadow is halter broke but can be hard to catch. she is fearful but once you show her you mean her no harm... she loves to have her back scratched and her ears rubbed! shadow would do best in a situation where she can just be loose in a large pasture with a few friends to keep her company. she does not like dogs and would make a great watch donkey for a flock of sheep or goats. Adoption fee;$400.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

shadow, a Bangor Donkey/Mule/Burro/Hinny was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Donkey/Mule/Burro/Hinny for sale in Bangor, or seeking a Donkey/Mule/Burro/Hinny from a breeder in Bangor.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bangor already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bangor breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Donkey/Mule/Burro/Hinny breeders who help with Donkey/Mule/Burro/Hinny rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bangor paves the way for another one to be saved.
