I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.
We do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. They are all kept in foster homes until they are adopted. Therefore, if you are interested in adopting from CCHS, you have to complete an online application at http://www.collincountyhumanesociety.org/adoption-application.html and we will contact you asap about the status of your application.
Fiona is a 5 month old (as of 4/01/2013) female shep mix puppy that was found with a broken leg and taken to a local shelter. Her ear has birth defect that causes the flap to circle her ear canal. She hears out of the ear just fine:) She is currently about 20 lbs, and we estimate she will grow to around 50 lbs.
She's just as sweet as can be. Fiona is crate trained and potty trained. She is new to the whole house thing, and getting along great with all the resident dogs and cats. She LOVES to love on her human fosters.
Fiona has had surgery to fix her leg. She is now good as new and ready to take on the world... or a forever home, which ever comes first.
She is UTD on shots, current on Hw prev, spayed and microchipped.
To apply for Fiona, please go to www.collincountyhumanesociety.org for more information.

Rescue Group Info...
Our Purpose is:
To rescue adoptable dogs and puppies from animal shelters and animal control facilities
To rescue dogs and puppies from abusive and neglectful situations, including puppy mills and "backyard breeders"
To help educate the public on proper animal care and promote spaying and neutering of all pets
To provide medical treatment for animals in our care
To provide foster homes for animals in our care
To place rescued animals in permanent, loving homes
To build and maintain a facility to house rescued animals and host adoptions.
To meet our pets, contact us about any dog/puppy you are interested in and we'll set up a meeting time/date between the adopter and foster home.
Adopters will complete an adoption app. If he/she has a pet, we will check their vet reference and a home visit is not needed (as long as the vet reference is current). All pets must be UTD , current on HW prev and S/N. If a home visit is needed we will compele that ASAP--as we don't want any delays in the adoption process. The adoption fee is $200 for dogs ad $250 for puppies. We spend an average of $300 on each dog/puppy, so the adoption fee helps pay for the vetting for future dogs we bring into the program. Their is a 5 day grace period to make sure he/she is a good fit for your family.
