Lady Marmalade's Story...
Calling all hound dog lovers! Lady Marmalade is Adoptable!

Meet Lady Marmalade! She is a 1-2 year old coon hound and is your typical hound dog - loving, loyal, and follows her nose wherever it may take her. Lady Marmalade is a sweet girl who loves attention and playing with the other dogs and human children in her foster home. She does well walking on a leash, but does sometimes have the tendency to let her nose lead the way. Lady Marmalade aims to please, so will be easily trainable. She is crate trained and almost house trained. She's had a couple accidents in her new foster home, but is quickly catching on and learning how to give cues that she needs out. Lady Marmalade has been introduced to cats and definitely wants to play with them. She's probably do best in a home without cats. Lady Marmalade would be a great fit for just about any home, but she'd LOVE an active family who enjoys frequent walks and being outdoors.

Lady Marmalade is UTD on shots, spayed and fostered in Severn, MD.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lady Marmalade, a Frederick Coonhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Coonhound for sale in Frederick, or seeking a Coonhound dog from a breeder in Frederick.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Frederick already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Frederick breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Coonhound breeders who help with Coonhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Frederick paves the way for another one to be saved.
