Adopt Vegah the Fun Loving Black Lab Mix!
Vegah is a 4 year old black lab mix. He is neutered and up to date on all vaccines. Unfortunately, a move from a house with a large yard and lots of space to run into a small apartment in Washington DC has found Vegah unhappy and frustrated. He would love to move in with a family who has lots of energy and space for him to run around. The noise and chaos of the city makes Vegah nervous and he experiences a bit of anxiety. Despite this, here is what Vegah's current family has to say about him: He has excellent name recall, loves to run outside and swim, and is a huge fan of snuggling.
He is happy with the simple things and will flourish in an environment more suitable for his needs. Ideally, he would love to be somewhere with a farm or a lot of land, without kids, with human companions that have experience with quirky dogs. He does not dig holes, does not scratch up or chew on furniture or shoes. He is completely house-trained. He has been with other dogs (both male and female) his whole life. We have another dog (a female mastiff) and they do okay together. Vegah would do best in a family where he is the only pet and can get lots of exercise. He would make an excellent running partner. He is probably best suited to a home that has a yard in which he can run and play. While he does have some anxiety, he does not show separation anxiety and does well out of the crate when his family is not home. He has been to the dog park but seems to get nervous there, though with some training and socialization, he could likely enjoy visits to a park or play dates!
He is fostered in Washington, DC. Won't you consider giving Vegah a new lease on life?
