King's Story...
Meet King this Saturday at Fur Fest. Because Fur Fest runs from 9AM to 4PM, the dogs can't stay the whole day. If you are coming to meet King please contact us and let us know so we can let you know what time he will be there.

King is a 9 month old black lab/airedale mix who loves to run, play and wrestle with other dogs. He is very well socialized and is actually at his best at the dog park. King knows how to play well with other dogs of all sizes, never gets overly physical, knows how to take it easy with smaller dogs and lets more assertive dogs have their way without any complaints or competitiveness. Although he doesn't yet play fetch by himself, he loves to run with other dogs who are fetching and will play the game with them. He loves chasing and being chased.

King does really well in the house, but, as with all puppies he needs to be taught boundaries inside. He learns fast and is starting to understand that the human is in charge. King lives with 2 cats at his foster home and is curious but mostly gives them a wide berth, although he can hang out in the same room with the cats without incident. He will however chase a cat if it runs past him or away from him, although this appears to be in the interest of play and not an indication of prey drive. King is crate trained. King would do very well in a house with other dogs, of any age or size, or will do fine as the only dog, but he will need quite a bit of daily exercise as he is quite energetic. He is also friendly with the kids at the neighborhood park.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

King, a San Francisco Airedale Terrier/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Airedale Terrier/Labrador Retriever for sale in San Francisco, or seeking a Airedale Terrier/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in San Francisco.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Francisco already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Francisco breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Airedale Terrier/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Airedale Terrier/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Francisco paves the way for another one to be saved.
