Athena Betty's Dog's Story...
For more information please manually email me at info@saveamuttkennel.info or contact us direct via our main web site at http://www.saveamuttkennel.info .

Athena is estimated at being 6 years old. She was a puppy mill dog. We were told she was a Chinese crested. Which is kind of funny because she is around 30 pounds and rather tall. The vet said that he thought she was a Mexican Hairless Dog. Athena is shy around people until she gets to know them. She is still learning how to be a pet and not a money making machine popping about babies every 6 months in a cramped crate. She is good with most dogs. She is kind of hesitant of the larger dogs at her fosters. Athena needs a kind adopter who has the patience and soft touch to finish what we have started with her rehab. We are not sure how she will do with cats. We have not tested her. We have not tested her with smaller kids. She is used to older ones and actually sleeps in the bed with the little girls at her foster home.

She is spayed, heartworm tested, dewormed, and will be microchipped.

We do require a pre screen application to apply. You can get that on our main web site at www.saveamuttkennel.info . Please read the FAQ page while you are there.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Athena Betty's Dog, a Sherman Xoloitzcuintle/Mexican Hairless dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Xoloitzcuintle/Mexican Hairless for sale in Sherman, or seeking a Xoloitzcuintle/Mexican Hairless dog from a breeder in Sherman.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sherman already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sherman breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Xoloitzcuintle/Mexican Hairless breeders who help with Xoloitzcuintle/Mexican Hairless rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sherman paves the way for another one to be saved.
