Ruff Ruff! My name is Roo

Roo came to us as an owner surrender. A woman took him from a "free to a good home" add and, after trying for a couple weeks, realized she wasn't ready for the responsibilities of a puppy. Because Roo had not received any veterinary care, she wanted to make sure he went to a rescue that would provide it and screen for the perfect home for Roo.

Roo is a tiny little thing, weighing only about five pounds at almost four-months-old. We don't see him getting larger than 10 pounds. He is reportedly a Chihuahua/Min Pin/Doxie mix. Saying he is cute is an understatement! His most striking feature? He has stunning green eyes!

Roo quickly attaches to his caretaker. He warms up to strangers quickly, but will be a bit shy and bark first. He has been exposed to other dogs and kitties and doesn't mind their company. He is probably a bit too little to safely be in a house with small children, though he does like children!

Roo is a cuddly little guy who likes lots of attention and lap time. He isn't fond of being alone, so wants a family who will be home much of the time. He is doing great with his crate training but, being a puppy, will need that continued until he is fully house-trained.
