Stuart's Story...
Stuart is a three month old yellow lab/terrier mix little boy. He had was at BARC with bilateral inguinal hernias and scheduled for euthanasia when Buster's Friends pulled him. His surgery was complicated and he has three incisions on his little tummy, but is fine now. He loves to run and play, chase the tennis ball and his friends at his foster home. He looks like a yellow lab, but doesn't look like he is going to be that big. He only weighed 4 pounds when he had his surgery in mid January. He is a bundle of joy, ready liven up your home.

Stuart is up to date on his shots, neutered, heartworm tested and microchipped. Adoption fee is $125 (a bargain for this loveable fellow!)

Please email us to find out which event he will be attending this weekend.

About Our Rescue Group...
Buster’s Friends was created in memory of Jennifer Fields. Jennifer spent countless hours rescuing and fostering hundreds of Houston’s homeless animals prior to losing her battle to cancer in May 2009. As a tribute to Jennifer and her dedication, we named the group after her beloved dog Buster, who made the journey to the Rainbow Bridge in August 2008.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Stuart, a Houston Labrador Retriever/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) for sale in Houston, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
