Belleglen Sanctuary's mission is to provide sanctuary, always and forever, for rescued and special needs cats. The sanctuary seeks to find safe and loving indoor homes or homes with safe outdoor enclosed environments for special needs cats including former blood donors and cats with special physical, aging related, or psychological needs in northern California. The sanctuary is committed to providing a safe and loving group living environment for life for all nonadoptable cats. The sanctuary provides spay/neuter public education, and education on building safe outdoor environments for companion cats. Belleglen Sanctuary is a no-kill shelter.

Our Adoption Process...
We require references, veterinary references and home checks.
Signing the Application means you agree to the following for any cat(s) that you adopt:
The cat will be INDOORS only and will only be allowed outdoors in a secure enclosed area (please contact us for ideas on how to do this).
You will provide proper grooming, food, water, attention, and medical care.
If you must give up the cat, it must be returned to Belleglen Sanctuary or you must receive approval from Belleglen Sanctuary to place the cat in another home.
Be prepared to show your Driver's License to verify name and address
The adoption fee to help cover costs is $80 for one cat $120 for two cats. We accept additional donations to cover all the costs involved in the cats’ care
WE DO NOT SHIP CATS
It does take us some time to return calls, so please be patient.

You'll receive a copy, too, at
to help you keep track of which pets you've inquired about, and which shelters and rescues you've emailed.
NOTE: Some shelters have physical locations you can visit; some of these shelters may only have pets for a limited time, so please do not wait for a reply—just go visit the shelter!
Other organizations are rescue groups run by busy volunteers who may take a while to reply. You can find information about the shelter or rescue group caring for this pet, and their adoption procedures,
