Chase is an energetic and happy young dog. He was rescued from the streets of Puerto Vallarta and has recently come to Calgary. His age is approximately 14 months so still has alot of play in him. He loves to run, play fetch and is good with other dogs. He is in foster care right now and is learning proper behavior to be a good Canadian .He is very loving and adores to be cuddled. He is house trained and does not destroy things. He has excellent recall and is learning quickly correct behavior. As he is a street dog he does need to learn to trust but once he does he is devoted to you. He would thrive in an active household preferably without cats. If you think Chase could be the dog for you please contact NOBARS (No boundaries animal rescue society) and we will arrange for you to meet him.
Rescue Group Info...
No Borders Animal Rescue Society (NOBARS) is a small no-kill rescue group operated out of Alberta. We are a 100% not for profit society and is volunteer run. We have foster homes all over Alberta.
Dogs are fostered by volunteers until their forever homes are found. While in foster care the animals receive full vet care in both Canada and Puerto Vallarta, Mexico where the transport originates. All animals adopted out by NOBARS are spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, and dewormed.
We work with rescue groups in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, as well, we work closely with several local rescue groups in Alberta. We will transport small and larger breed dogs then place the dogs in foster homes until a forever family is found.
We have Adoption Day Events ! Please check our website and our Facebook page to keep up to date with our events!
Part of our responsibility as members of Rescue Society is to ensure dogs and cats find their forever families. We want to ensure that the animal you wish to adopt is well suited for you, your home, and lifestyle and we are looking for the best possible conditions for each furry friend. To that end we require the following prior to adoption.
Adoption process – An Adoption Application Form must be filled out and a phone interview must be completed. A meet and greet will be set up to so that the potential adoptive family can meet the pet(s) they are interested in. We also complete a home inspection prior to the adoption and we also complete a small education session that covers many areas of being a responsible pet guardian.
We will require proof of home ownership or copy of lease or rental agreement along with landlord permission to have an animal companion. If applicable, copies of the condominium by-laws to assure animals are allowed in the complex.
Applicants will be required to sign our contract agreement.
All animals are spayed or neutered and have all vaccinations.
We will recommend applicants sign up for obedience classes when adopting dogs.
