Here is what his foster family had to say:
Prince is very unique looking with a regal stance, beautiful blue eyes and lovely golden coat. Considering his age, he is fairly well behaved and calm and quiet in the home. He loves outdoor time, and his toys - both things keep him entertained and happy. He's not a lap dog, and like many youngsters - isn't so interested in cuddles and hugs. Pretty low key.... he's been a great dog to have around.
Prince is a very chilled young guy. He's happy to meet new people; isn't overly licky, and doesn't jump unless it's during playtime. With our daughter (4), he will follow her about like a buddy and is very mindful of her space. Zero signs of aggressive. Not even a growl during tug-play, even his toys - he doesn't destroy them during play. He's a very chilled out guy. No shows no signs of shyness and is friendly, confident, and inquisitive with everyone. He's OK with other dogs while on walks; we haven't yet taken him to the dog park as his recall is still a work-in-progress; and he's very curious about cats - lots of sniffing and following.
He is still a playful puppy in many ways and has some growing still to do. Prince will mooch for food, and if it is lying at his face level, he may sneak a bite. If corrected though, he does stop. He hasn't snatched food from hands, and hasn't climbed to reach food. His recall is improving - though still requires work when he's focussed or distracted, he does knows SIT and SHAKE. He is fully house trained and lets you know when he needs out. Prince, bless him, doesn't like his crate. He will resist going in, and will be unsettled for 10-15 minutes initially; but will settle down. We give him a chewie filled with frozen food to keep him occupied and happy. He is coming along nicely with his leash training but will need some more correction and training. He doesn't yank or fly off uncontrollably, he's just a strong young dog and has places to go with a purpose.
Prince is happy to roam around our back yard, he hasn't tried to dig an escape tunnel or scale the fences. The only time he bolts for the door is when he *really* needs to do his business.
Prince would do well with an moderately active family or couple - he does need outdoor exercise and play; not to excess amounts - but daily. He's respectful of people's space, and although can be sad when one of his family leaves, he isn't "clingy" or "needy". He's a very calm dog, happy to relax when indoors and amuse himself with his toys. He will need some training to improve his recall and walking on leash, and general doggy manners.
