Juniper's Story...
Juniper was rescued with her siblings Peony and Poinsettia from a shelter in Kentucky, where they had spent their early weeks of life with their mama and were weaned there. When they came to HART, they were quite sick and had to spend weeks in quarantine, but have been nursed back to health.
Juniper wouldn't leave his sick sister's side until she got better, and he quickly became the most affectionate kitten of the bunch. He will lay his paws on your cheeks and give you a kiss, curl up in your lap, climb into the shower with you or watch water drip in the sink and paw at it or jump on your back if you turn it to him. He's a great runner, playful, funny and a really awesome kitten. He loves to help you cook and eat your supper, always willing to snuggle under the covers and sleep with you, he just always wants to be around you. Please consider giving Juniper, and maybe his siblins, a forever home.

All HART kittens and cats are vet checked, combo tested, spayed or neutered, up to date on all vaccines, microchipped, and on flea and tick preventative.

If you are interested in any of our kitties, you must complete an online cat adoption application - Click Here. The application will put you in touch with this wonderful cat's foster family so you can schedule a meeting. Thanks!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Juniper, a Cincinnati Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Cincinnati, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Cincinnati.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cincinnati already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cincinnati breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cincinnati paves the way for another one to be saved.
