Meet Betty White! Although, with her sparkling personality we could have named her Betty Boop, or with her great dancing ability even Betty Grable!
Betty is a joyful soul the world with a touch of diva thrown in for good measure. No doubt a bundle of energy -- and ready to bounce into your life and heart. Then snuggle on you lap for much deserved adoration...
Betty and Barry showed up on the doorstep of one of our volunteers. They were taken to the shelter in hopes of being microchipped, and of locating their owners. Found dogs ads were placed, but no one claimed these two adorable dogs. The Humane Society of Stanislaus rescued both of them from the shelter at the earliest possible date to put them into a foster home and they are waiting for their fur-ever homes! Although, they came together, either dog would do well if adopted separately--we will offer a discount if adopted together!
Although, being she was rescued, we are unsure of her true parentage. But it's easy guess that's she's Maltese and poodle. The before grooming and after grooming pictures tell the story! Her makeover made her beautiful on the outside, her personality makes her beauty go through and through!
If you would like to see more pictures she has her own "album" on our facebook page --facebook.com/humanestanislaus.From the day she was taken to the shelter to her grooming transformation you can see how well she cleans up!
Ms. Betty is still having some housebreaking challenges, but she was the first to figure out the dog door after watching her foster sister go through it, she stared at it for a long time wondering "where did she go?" and when her foster sister came back in Betty acted like it was the BEST magic trick ever--the disappearing and reappearing dog!
Of course, that was only second to the beautiful dog in the mirror, or the one that reflected back at her at the window. She could see them, and bark at them, but they didn't smell like a dog or feel like a dog....Betty really is an entertainer of legendary proportions!
Betty will be available after February 10th, she will be spayed, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $250, a small price to pay for love that will last a lifetime!
