Michaela FIV+'s Story...
My name is Michaela and I am an absolute love bug. I had a rough start in life. At 6 weeks old I found myself out in the world all alone and with a broken leg. A sweet man found me and brought me to the folks at Bedford Humane Society. They fixed me right up! Later when it was time to get me spayed they found out I was positive for FIV. I currently hang out with my handsome roommate Marty, we both would love to find a home of our own however we should be the only cat or with other FIV positive cats. We need a home that understands the disease and is willing to give a special needs cat the love we deserve. If you would like to meet me or my roommate Marty call 540-586-6100 or e-mail michelle@bhsva.org.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Michaela FIV+, a Bedford Siamese cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Siamese for sale in Bedford, or seeking a Siamese cat from a breeder in Bedford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bedford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bedford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Siamese breeders who help with Siamese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bedford paves the way for another one to be saved.
