Snoop is a high energy boy who loves to play. He gets along with most other dogs (but is too pushy for some) and keeps trying to get the cat to play too. When he bugs her too much, she smacks him on the nose and he looks crestfallen... for about 5 seconds until he's off to find someone else to play with. He loves chew toys and often tries to 'bury' them in carefully chosen corners. He's working on housebreaking and walking nicely on a leash. He'll stay quietly in his crate but needs a lot of coaxing to go into it. Snoop would love to have some kids to entertain him but adults are fun too. His wirey coat requires minimal care but can be professionally groomed if you like. We prefer the scruffy look :-)
$125 adoption fee includes spay/neuter surgery, rabies and other vaccinations, heartworm test, deworming, and heartworm and flea preventatives while the dog is in our care PLUS a free new-pet checkup at South Gessner Pet Clinic!

Mutts & Meows Animal Rescue is a private rescue headquartered near Sugar Land (in the southwestern suburbs of Houston). We work closely with other rescues as well as the Animal Control Departments of various municipalities in the Houston area to place dogs and cats in loving, permanent homes. Our pets live with foster families, so we know them well enough to make a good match between people and pets. Our adoption fees ($125 for dogs, $85 for cats) include spaying/neutering, vaccinations, FEV/FELV tests for cats, and heartworm tests for dogs.
Meet our adoptable pets most weekends at one of the locations below. If there's a specific pet you're coming to see, please email (MuttsAndMeows@live.com) the day before or call the store DURING ADOPTION TIMES ONLY and ask to speak to a volunteer. Please do not call the store outside of our regular adoption hours. The pets live in foster homes during the week so the store employees do not know which pets will be there that weekend.

1. Look at our wonderful dogs and cats. Try to pick just one or two you'd like to meet.
2. Email us to request an Adoption Application. We'll reply within 24 hrs.
3. Complete the application and email it back to us.
4. Our Adoption Counselors will review your application and get back to you within 24 hrs. We reserve the right to decline any application. A home visit may be required.
5. If you're approved, we'll set up a time for you to meet the pet at a location that's convenient for you and the foster. (All our pets live in foster homes around the city. We are not a public shelter.)
