My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Douglas is a handsome and lean 1-year-old fawn, male pug. He has large floppy ears, a curly tail, a smooth lustrous coat, and a fat mouth that turns pouty when you pinch it. Dogs are often described as “lover boy,” but Dougie Fresh puts the rest to shame. It took him all of five minutes to fall deeply in love with his foster parents, and he shares this love with all new people he meets. Doug is forever trying to drape himself on you and fall asleep. If you’re watching TV, he’ll slink across the back of the couch and sling himself across your shoulders like a mink stole, kissing you gently on the ear. Sometimes he pretends to lose his balance and flop onto your lap or foot—then he quickly gets comfortable and pretends to be asleep. Doug’s youthful spirit comes through more in these goofy lover-boy shenanigans than in puppy rambunctiousness. He gets along very well with his older foster pug brothers, but doesn’t antagonize them or try to make them play. He’s also more gentle and receptive to verbal commands than most young dogs. Doug is heartworm negative, newly neutered, as well as crate- and house-trained. He has a healing ulcer in his left eye but is otherwise healthy and eager to find his forever family.
