This is Simba. He loves the dog park. He loves walks and runs. I take him and my other dog every other day. He is extremely active, wakes up early and can play all day. He loves the car because that usually means were going to the park or to my moms where he has other dogs to play with. He is definitely house broken. I currently have a dog door so he goes in an out as he pleases. He usually is outside most of the day because he loves to sun bathe an run around with the weather right now. I have not run into any dogs he doesn't like or people for that matter. He is a little rough though and needs someone to help teach him manners basically. He isn't trying to be mean he just hasn't learned how to 'play fight' yet without biting and running over another dog. My older pittbull that I have is a 110lbs so I think he just gets excited that other dogs are smaller then him and tries to do what my oldest does to him when they play!
He would make a great second edition to someone's family that already has another dog that can keep up with him or someone who lives an extremely active lifestyle as he is very active and needs attention around the clock! He loves to sleep with you if you allow him but perfectly fine sleeping in his own bed as long as he knows where you are! He loves to chew of course so I get him hard rubber toys and bones! He is kennel trained but he's only been left in there for 4 hours at the most when I run errands. During the day he roams the house and plays w my oldest dog!
He is a big cuddler and loves his belly rubbed. He doesn't bark unless someone is at the door! When you get home he is finally learning how not to jump on you but smiles at you to show you he's glad you're home! He just likes to be by your side doing whatever you're doing. He loves running errands and going places. He's spooked by a lot of little things (open trash bags, loud noises) which makes me believe he might have been abused before I found him so he just needs lots of love an reassurance that someone is not going to leave him and give him a forever home!

Benji's Buddies is a non-profit (501c3) organization dedicated to the rescue and placement of pets into permanent, loving homes.
Benji's Buddies was founded by a small group of volunteers who value every pet and believe in their unique individuality and their ability to enrich the lives of others.
We believe that adopting a pet is a lifetime commitment and that no matter what turns life may take, the responsibility and obligation to that pet as a family member should remain constant. Pets are NOT disposable! They are living beings who feel love, fear and loss. Too often in rescue work, we see the result of human cruelty and negligence. These pets are desperate to be loved though their trust has been broken. We feel they deserve better!
We seek adoptive families who understand the meaning of this commitment and want to give a home to a pet in need. By home, we mean a place of love and security...for the rest of their lives.
You can meet our dogs every Saturday from 10am - 3pm at the Petsmart in Chandler, AZ located at 855 N 54th Street Chandler, Arizona 85226.
The standard adoption fee for dogs and puppies is $140 (cash or check) which includes spay/neuter, current vaccinations, microchip and collar/tags. The first step in initiating an adoption or adoption inquiry is the adoption application. There is no commitment by submitting the application - it just helps us determine if the pet you are interested in will be a good match for you. Next is a meet and greet at one of our adoption events - typically held on Saturdays. Not every pet is at every event so contact us first to find out when and where you can meet the pet you are interested in. If there are other dogs in your household, we suggest bringing them to ensure everyone gets along.
Benji's Buddies primarily adopts to homes throughout Arizona.
