My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Depot and I am a very nice, red and white, basset hound boy, about 6 to 8 years old. I was found as a stray by a nice lady when she saw me running around a local shopping area in NC. She was trying to figure out the best way to help me, and then she met these nice CCR folks who had just pulled in and parked to pick up a few items. After a lengthy conversation about me and what to do, these CCR folks told her that they would take me into their care at the rescue until they could find out if I belonged to someone. After making several inquires to local shelters and even putting an ad in the newspaper, it seemed that no one cared about me or was looking for me, so CCR has now taken me to their vet and updated me on shots etc. They also found out that I needed to have my tummy tucked to prevent bloat and I needed to be neutered so these issues have now been taken care of.

I am a good boy and I am doing well at the rescue with all of my new buddies, but I would really like to find a loving home of my own. These nice CCR folks feel that I will do best to find a home with a securely fenced backyard to romp and play in when it is nice outside. If you are looking for a really nice bassett hound who would love to meet you, I would really like to find a family, someone to love me and a great new home.
