Very sweet dog

Romeo, wherefore art thou ... HEY!  I'm right here.  It's me, Romeo, looking right at you.  Handsome guy, aren't I?

Some things about me, other than the obvious good looks:

I'm house trained, which I'm told is a good thing.  I also don't mind being in my 'man' cave (you probably call it a crate).   I'm a pretty mild mannered guy and I'm not high maintenance in that: I won't be bouncing off your walls if you don't play with me constantly.  On the other hand, I do like to play and go for walks, hikes, you know, stuff like that.  I do need some help with leash walking.  I know I'll like working with you so it will be easy, with lots of positive rewards (maybe even a treat or two), to help me learn the things I need to learn to make us a happy family.   Oh, before I forget, I do know what to do when you tell me to sit/down/wait/drop and, I LOVE stuffed toys.

A few kinda personal things about me; I'm great with kids of all ages and I do respect my elders.  I'd like to have a fenced yard but it's not written in stone.  The flip side, I'd like my family to myself and would not like living with other dogs or cats or other small animals.  Honestly, though, once I'm with you, you won't need anyone else.  I love snuggles and would love to be next to you on the couch.

About Our Shelter...
Angels of Assisi is dedicated to the preservation and care of all living creatures. We provide reduced cost medical care to companion animals with special emphasis on spaying and neutering to prevent pet overpopulation. We provide shelter, care and sustenance to companion and domesticated farm animals in need, including an adoption center for homeless dogs and cats and a farm animal sanctuary. Our goal is to educate the public that companion and farm animals are not objects for human use but are living sentient, creatures deserving human respect and kindness.

Angels of Assisi’s operating costs are subsidized by corporate sponsorships from Prime Time Rentals and NationsLine. Corporate Sponsorships and private donations allow the clinic to base fees on the income of the pet owner as well as provide services for rescue operations. For more information about Angels of Assisi and their services, volunteer opportunities, or to make a donation, please call the clinic at 540-344-8707 or log on to www.angelsofassisi.org.
