Pookie's Story...
Pookie #373 is a black long-coat female Chi, 5 yr old and weighs 6lb 15oz. Pookie & Pedro #372 were an owner surrender because she could not afford to care for them any more. Pookie is a lover and wants to be with you and on your lap when you sit down. She gets along with the other dogs, except she is not real crazy about the Black lab we have. She sleeps in a wire kennel with the door open and seems to be just fine with that. She is okay with both men and women and just wants to be petted and loved. She does not want to share her food, so needs to eat by herself. She is very sweet and easy to love. Her adoption fee is $250. For more information about Pookie, please contact her foster Mom in Roy, WA at or

We do not do same day adoptions unless you are preapproved. Adoption application with references checked & a home visit are required. We do many special events during the year, so check our calendar on our website:

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pookie, a Seattle Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Seattle, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Seattle.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Seattle already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Seattle breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Seattle paves the way for another one to be saved.
