Roobaloo's Story...
Roobaloo was rescued from a hoarding situation in December 2012, and fostered with his sister, Rouge. All the cats from this situation were very nervous for a couple days, but all have blossomed into friendly, curious cats! Roobaloo in particular likes to explore people, cats, and anything else in the room! She might still be a bit shy, but it won’t stop her from at least sniffing an outstretched hand. Like her sister, Roo loves ball toys and wet food. She seems interested in her new feline roommates, and approaches them without fear (though they don’t always appreciate her curious persistence)! The social butterfly, she likes to play with Stufy Walton, and might have a crush on Cadence! Roobaloo was born in 2010.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Roobaloo, a Chicago Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
