Griffin's Story...
Meet Griffin! Griffin is a 8 month old, cuddly, intelligent, personable, copper colored Dachshund Mix with bunches of energy. His foster family describes him as easy to train; he has already learned how to sit, come when called, and walk on a leash. He’s doing great with potty training and he sleeps through the night without accidents. Griffin would be a great addition to a home with or without older kids! Griffin does not play well with cats but loves to play with other dogs. We will require a completion of an obedience course as condition of adoption, as will be stated in the adoption contract. Griffin is up to date on shots and is neutered. He is being fostered in Spring Grove, PA.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Griffin, a Hanover Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Hanover, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Hanover.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hanover already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hanover breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hanover paves the way for another one to be saved.
