Joey's Story...

Meet Joey.  He is a 1 year old Kelpie mix and is so sweet.  Joey came from a less than ideal environment where he was often confined to a crate.  Due to this, the perfect home for Joey will be one where he is free to go in and out as he pleases.  He also needs the company of another dog and a family that won't be away for more than a few hours a day.  Joey gets along with all animals and is a great family dog.  We recommend families with older children as Joey does get excited and may knock over a small child.  Joey is a love and will be a great addition to the right family.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Joey, a Bellingham Australian Kelpie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Kelpie for sale in Bellingham, or seeking a Australian Kelpie dog from a breeder in Bellingham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellingham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellingham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Kelpie breeders who help with Australian Kelpie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellingham paves the way for another one to be saved.
