My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Henry is a sweet, pure-bred Jack Russell Terrier who loves affection and has a personality that keep us smiling. Our veterinarian estimates Henry to be about 8 years old. He is mostly very calm, loves to eat and sleep, but has great amusing bursts of energy. Henry loves to sleep next to his Foster Dad and loves attention, but he is just as happy doing his own thing.

Henry wags his whole body when we return home from an outing. He talks when he gets excited. We call it Henry's "joyful noise." Nothing makes Henry happier than a good leash walk. He gets a big smile and an extra pep in his step as he leaves the house to take on the world.

Henry is absolutely full of himself and we love him for it. He can be Mr. Cranky Pants when he is disturbed from a good sleep but one pat on the head leads to our treasured Henry kisses. Henry would make a great "only dog" as his occasional crankiness is likely attributed to the proximity of the other dogs in the pack of 8 at his foster home, but he would also likely make a fine companion for a female dog. His best friend at his foster home is an older male Jack Russell named Sumter. The two of them lay side by side.

Henry has a benign fatty tumor on his chest that we call his "love knob." We squeeze it whenever we pick him up. Our veterinarian has aspirated it and it is completely benign. Removal is pointless. Henry needs someone with love who can look past his blemish and give him the special home he deserves. Henry is otherwise healthy and is up to date on all his vaccines. Henry is neutered and heartworm negative.

There is just something special about Henry. We love him so much. He makes us laugh and warms our hearts.

If you think you might like to give sweet, cranky Henry a loving forever home, contact his foster dad Christopher at uncbare@yahoo.com.
