My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Brutus is the pup with all the personality in the world. On Feb. 9th Brutus turned 6 weeks old. He is the first to greet you in the morning with paws up and tail wagging and he just can't wait to be picked up. He makes the cutest little squeaky noses when he is looking for attention and he is not above knocking a sibling out of the way to get it. He appreciates a good cuddle but also longs to roam about his new surroundings. He even followed my big dog out the door this morning onto the deck where he promptly did all his business. I was so proud. When he first got here he was the quiet cuddler who was content to sit in anyone's lap including my 2 little girls. Being sniffed by the big dogs didn't phase him one bit. He was quiet throughout the night and only did his business on the wee wee pads but once he heard people up this morning he turned on the charm and begged for his release. Right now he seems to be more interested in people and exploring. Brutus has been winning us over with his charm and wit and courage. And we just love that he is not at all nippy. As we get to know this sweet one better, we will update the description.

UPDATE: Well, Brutus continues to be our little entertainer as he just can't contain his excitement when his humans are around. Every time we get the same enthusiastic greeting and I would swear he smiles at us. He expects to be picked up first when I come in and will bowl over his siblings to get his turn. When being held, Brutus does like to give gentle kisses. What a mush! Most amusing, however, is that Brutus apparently loves belly rubs and will roll over for one and wiggles as we rub his belly. Such a ham! He is doing very well with the wee wee pads and is accident-free. In his spare time, Brutus loves the squeaky toys and wrestling with his siblings. We can't help but love this guy.

This animal is currently fostered in a private home. Our rescue is 100% foster home based. We do not have a shelter or kennel. They are cared for by a loving family until adopted. Each pup has had their first vet exam, a shot, and de-worming, etc We make sure they have no fleas prior to going into our foster homes. They are fostered out of the shelter at least two weeks or more prior to adopting to monitor health. We take their care seriously!

Please note that the adoption appointments will be scheduled after your application is approved. Once adopted, feel free to change the dog's name. You do not have to keep the name listed in this post.
