Chester's Story...
Chester is an active Siamese rat. Chester can be a bit shy at first but when he gets used to you his personality shines. He needs a peaceful home with plenty of attention. He loves cheerios and will sit calmly on your shoulder. He is curious and playful once he feels safe.  Children under 8 may be a danger to him--must have had rats before or always be supervised. No predatory animals. Must adopt Snow White as well as they are a bonded pair and love being brother and sister. May not get along with another intact male unless also from this litter.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chester, a Boise Rat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat for sale in Boise, or seeking a Rat from a breeder in Boise.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Boise already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Boise breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat breeders who help with Rat rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Boise paves the way for another one to be saved.
