LaBelle's Story...
La Belle is a Silver Persian beauty with golden eyes who has a sweet affectionate personality. La Belle was a stray that ended up in a shelter in Orange County. When we picked her up, she was filthy, but she's been all cleaned up and is recovering nicely from her experience. La Belle's favorite thing is getting her face rubbed - she could do that for hours while rolling around on her back. She is a purr machine - she often walks around purring non-stop. She curls up in bed against her foster mom or stands on top of her, making mashed potatoes with her paws. She is a pro with feather toys and the laser and she is great with the litter box. La Belle will do fine with other mellow, non-pestering cats. Although she can be bribed to do things with treats, La Belle does not yet like to be held or lifted, so she should go to an experienced household with no children.

About Our Rescue Group...
Helping Persian Cats rescues Persians, Himalayans, Exotic Short Hairs and other cats, and places them in responsible and loving homes with people who care! Our network of volunteers rescues primarily purebred cats, from local animal shelters in the southern California area, and from breeders who are no longer able to care for their cats, and from private owners in special circumstances. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation. Contributions to Helping Persian Cats are deductible under section 170 of the IRS Code. We rely entirely on donations from the public!

Our volunteers and foster homes work hard every day to help Persians and other cats who are in need. All of our foster cats live in cage-free foster homes where we can best assess their personalities and health prior to adoption.

We believe that the happiest and healthiest life for a cat is as a spayed or neutered pet. We ensure that all of our adoptable cats are spayed and neutered BEFORE placing them in new homes. We do not rely on "promises" to get the operation performed in the future.

In addition to spay/neuter, all of our adoptable cats have been seen at least once by a private veterinarian, are tested for feline leukemia and aids, are vaccinated for FVRCP, are dewormed and flea-free, and have received other medical care as needed.

Come Meet Our Pets...
We show our adoptable cats every other Saturday at Petco in Santa Monica from 11:30 to 3:30pm. The address is 2910 Wilshire Blvd. To find out the date of our next adoption event, please email us at helpingpersians@hotmail.com

If possible, we recommend that you submit your application prior to attending our adoption events.

Our Adoption Process...
The best way to contact us is by email.
If you find a cat that you are interested in adopting, please email for an application form at helpingpersians@hotmail. We will be happy to answer any questions.
We require all adopters to be approved for adoption, through completion of our application. We may sometimes require a home visit by one of our volunteers. We do not ship our cats - all adopters must meet the cat they wish to adopt.
An adoption fee is required.
We Serve the Following Cities, Towns, and/or Counties...
We are located in the Los Angeles area, but serve southern California, the Inland Empire and the central coast areas.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

LaBelle, a Beverly Hills Persian cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Persian for sale in Beverly Hills, or seeking a Persian cat from a breeder in Beverly Hills.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Beverly Hills already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Beverly Hills breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Persian breeders who help with Persian rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Beverly Hills paves the way for another one to be saved.
