Riley's Story...
Meet Riley! He's a little ball of energy, he makes the cutest little faces, LOVES playing fetch. He's really quiet not much of a barker but when he does bark he sounds like a beagle or basset hound. He loves playing with the other dogs in the house and adores one of his foster brothers, he chases him around everywhere biting at the back of his legs to get his attention. He goes up and down steps as fast and is a little daredevil when it comes to jumping off furniture. He has no problem helping himself up onto the couch and for only having 4" legs he can get them little tree trunks moving. He will lay in your lap on his back and let you rub his belly or play with his ears for hours and is super soft like one of those TY stuffed animals.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Riley, a Shippenville Dachshund puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Shippenville, or seeking a Dachshund puppy from a breeder in Shippenville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Shippenville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Shippenville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Shippenville paves the way for another one to be saved.
