Clarity's Story...
From Clarity's foster mom:

I found Clarity the weekend before Christmas, laying in the middle of the road by herself looking like she had given up on life. She was about 6 weeks old, had a HORRIBLE case of mange, a yeast infection, and was underweight (See the lastpicture). Now she is a happy healthy normal puppy! She appears to have some sharpei maybe hound or shepherd in her and she has rottie coloring. She is one of those Heinz 57 dogs! She gets along with all dogs and loves to play! She hasn't been around cats, but is still young enough right now that she could most l ikely be introduced to them without any problems. She also loves people and does well with older children (and I'm sure younger too there just aren't any in our house!) Clarity is currently doing well working on becoming house-trained and will soon be spayed. If you are interested in adopting Clarity, please email me at aliciaaff@yahoo.com or fill out an application on our website: http://forgottendogs.org/adoption_application.html

Thank you!

Rescue Group Info...

About Our Rescue Group...
We rescue in a low income area of Houston called the 5th Ward. We founded Forgotten Dogs of the 5th Ward Project about a year ago to address what we saw as an obvious need to help the many stray dogs we were seeing in there. We set up feeding stations and network and pull as many as we can when a foster home or no-kill rescue group says they can take them in. One of our goals is education and we provide residents with vouchers that cover the complete cost of having their animals altered and vaccinated against rabies. In addition, we provide other vaccinations and worming in the field free of charge. Since November 2011 we have grown in size and have rescued over 250 dogs and a few cats from the area. We are launching a program called Habitat for Hounds through which we will donate doghouses and blankets to residents for their dogs that are kept outside. Our website is forgottendogs.org and we are a 501c3.
Come Meet Our Pets...
We do not have a regular adoption site at this time, but stay tuned to our facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/ForgottenDogs5) for our upcoming events!
Our Adoption Process...
Our adoption fee ranges from $100 to $150. We have an online application and a contract and all dogs/puppies are either spayed/neutered prior to adoption if old enough or arrangements are made to have them spayed/neutered afterwards.
We Serve the Following Cities, Towns, and/or Counties...
Houston and surrounding areas.
