Hi there, I''m Linus! I''m a high energy guy with a passion for life. I really love to live every day to fullest, so I''d like to find someone who feels the same way. We can explore and discover all the wonders of the world together! And maybe you could even teach me a few things along the way. As much as I try to be a good boy, I wasn''t ever really taught any manners. But, I''m a smart boy so I know I can learn just about anything you can teach me! So what do ya say? Are you ready for some adventure together?!

Shelter Info...
Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League is a limited-admission humane society and provides services to over 20,000 cats, dogs, puppies and kittens each year. Operating continuously since 1925, we have been positively impacting animal welfare and addressing overpopulation in Palm Beach County through a variety of services.
Our Vision is to create a community where 100% of the adoptable animals find loving homes and no animals will be euthanized because of pet overpopulation.
Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League, Humane Society of the Palm Beaches, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and does not receive funding from city, county, state, or the federal government, or local organizations with similar names. We rely solely on the generosity of individuals, foundations and corporations to provide quality programs and services to the community. Your donations directly support the services and programs in place to help animals in need.
Our mission is to provide shelter to lost, homeless and unwanted animals; to furnish medical and other services for the care of companion animals; to care for, protect, and find quality homes for homeless and neglected animals; to advocate animal welfare, community involvement and education to further the bond between people and animals, for the mutual benefit of both.
Open 7 days a week from 11:00am to 6:00pm
Shelter pets make the best pets. We receive pets every day and we may have the perfect pet for you. We encourage you to visit the shelter in person during adoption hours rather than calling or emailing.
Our goal is to help you find the perfect pet based on your personality, lifestyle and what you are looking for in a pet. Our team members and volunteers work with the pets everyday so that we may give you detailed information about the pets personalities. It may take you several trips to the shelter to find the perfect pet.
When you arrive at our shelter, we suggest you visit our Dog & Cat Adoption Rooms. Once you see a pet you might be interested in adopting, remember that pet's name and come to the main lobby in the Grace Pavilion. We can help you find the pet that best fits your lifestyle.
Once you meet with an Adoption Coordinator, they will bring the pet to meet you and to see if it's a match. You can then spend time with the pet and learn much more about bringing the pet into your home. Feel free to ask for recommendations. Don’t forget, we work with our pets every day and may know the perfect one for you.
Weekends are very busy. Please be patient, we want to make sure we find the perfect pet for you.
We recommend you bring your children to visit with the pets you are interested in. We may also schedule a dog visit to bring your family dog if you are looking for an additional dog. Please set up an appointment with an Adoption Counselor for the dog meet. We do not recommend cat-dog visits or cat-cat visits. All dogs who visit our shelter must be on a leash and be up to date on all vaccinations.
Before we can finalize an adoption, we require confirmation of your community’s pet policy if you rent or live in an HOA. Please bring a copy of your lease or HOA policy when you visit.
Adoption is a lifetime commitment including the training, emotional commitment and future medical care. Our most successful adoptions are to visitors who take their time in finding an appropriate companion. Every day, new pets are received at the League and made available for adoption, so if you don’t find an ideal companion pet immediately, keep visiting.
Please remember once you adopt we are here to support you. If you have questions, concerns or need assistance you can call our behavior help line at 472-8868 and one of our experienced counselors will get back to you in a flash!
Senior to Senior Adoptions: Your Adoption is FREE!
The Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League encourages senior citizens (age 55 and older) to participate in our Senior to Senior program, where we match you with a senior pet (five years or older). Research shows that having a pet helps people lead healthier lives, and the benefits are many: companionship, lowered blood pressure, stress relief, sense of purpose and responsibility, the list goes on. We think pets are so important to keep our seniors healthy and happy we’ll pick up the tab! Please visit us to meet your match.
