Holly's Story...
Here’s Holly! She is a 13 month old, 40-45 pound hound/heeler mix. Holly is a medium to high energy dog. She will be ready for her forever home after she is spayed and heals from the surgery; about mid-March. Holly has been a very good mother, and has a wonderful personality! She loves to cuddle on the couch or on the bed, but is also content to stay on her dog bed with her favorite toy or a big bone. Holly currently resides in her foster home with a male 75 pound Golden Retriever mix and a 15 year old cat. Holly is very trainable, and is learning to co-exist peacefully with the cat. She does get along well with other dogs and children. She will need a fenced yard to run and play; along with consistent exercise. Obedience classes would be an excellent addition to her training. Holly will make a great addition to a family willing to give her lots of love and direction. She walks well on a leash and is house trained and crate trained. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Holly, a Bellingham Hound (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Bellingham, or seeking a Hound (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Bellingham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellingham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellingham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellingham paves the way for another one to be saved.
