Montana's Story...
Montana is a 4 year old spayed female black Labrador who is sweet and friendly. Montana walks fair on the leash, but could use some additional training so walking her is enjoyable. She knows the basic commands of sit and down. She loves playing with squeaky toys, and can entertain herself. She has a nice temperament and is good at recall. She appears to be house trained. She seems to be good with other dogs, but her behavior with cats is unknown. She would probably do best in a home with older children, because she does get excited and jump up.

If you want to apply for Montana click here. You can then email the application to the Meridian Humane Society.Applications are now being accepted, and a visitation with the dog is encouraged. All applications will be considered and the adoption coordinator will call the person chosen to adopt the dog after the available date.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Montana, a Meridian Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Meridian, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Meridian.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Meridian already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Meridian breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Meridian paves the way for another one to be saved.
