Shelby's Story...
Shelby is the most loving little Rottie mix girl around. She lives with a foster family with Sam, Jack, and Lucy and her foster parents say she loves to run, run, run, because she has energy to spare! She loves her doggie siblings and likes to follow them around but what she really needs is a home of her own.

Shelby will be spayed, up to date on shots and microchipped before she is adopted out. If you'd like to learn more about Shelby, or to meet her in person, please contact us at adopt@nokill-louisville.com and we'll send you an application. Please remember that filling out the application is just the first step in the process and in no way obligates you to a particular dog. It's good for all our dogs and cats! Thanks for looking at Shelby!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shelby, a Louisville Rottweiler dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rottweiler for sale in Louisville, or seeking a Rottweiler dog from a breeder in Louisville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Louisville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Louisville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rottweiler breeders who help with Rottweiler rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Louisville paves the way for another one to be saved.
