Mr. Walter Magoo's Story...
My name is Mr. Walter Magoo - I'm four years young, healthy, incredibly handsome, and quite humble, considering just how perfect I am. First thing people notice about me: My wibbly-wobbly walk (although I call it my swagger). I was born with it and secretly I'm very proud of it. It doesn't affect anything else about me but my walk. Melts the ladies' hearts and makes the guys laugh (with me, not at me -I think) -- especially when I run after a mouse toy and end up somersaulting into the corner when I miss it. What I lack in coordination I make up for in determination! My turn-ons include people, cats , playing, and exploring stairwells and looking out windows. I like knowing what's going on in the world. My one and only turn-off is that pesky housefly that keeps getting away. I'm gonna get him one day, I promise. I'm in search of someone who will play with me and love me for who I am -- a loving cat with a big personality!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mr. Walter Magoo, a New York Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in New York, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in New York.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New York already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New York breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New York paves the way for another one to be saved.
