Tabby Jack's Story...

Tabby Jack is truly a unique cat. Calm and friendly, he's happy hanging out in a quiet place or following you around the house. He gets along great with other cats as well as dogs - he's super-sociable and unflappable. He's also super-quirky and funny! His eyesight isn't that great so he will go around with a wide-eyed expression like an adorable owl, but he makes up for it with great hearing - he'll know when you're up and around, quietly coming right up to you for some attention. He'll get back on his haunches and playfully ninja-fight, and he loves head and chin scratches - his behavior and temperament are wonderful. As a special needs cat, Tabby Jack has feline herpes (non-contagious to humans) and epilepsy, both well-controlled with inexpensive medication. This charming, amusing and handsome guy would be great fun in a home either with or without other animals.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tabby Jack, a New York Domestic Mediumhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Mediumhair for sale in New York, or seeking a Domestic Mediumhair cat from a breeder in New York.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New York already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New York breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Mediumhair breeders who help with Domestic Mediumhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New York paves the way for another one to be saved.
