Vanna's Story...
What a sweet, trusting face you will find when you look at Vanna. Who would guess that she was once an emaciated, scared stray one year ago. Vanna was adopted and nursed back to health by a wonderful family and then her family encountered hard times and had to surrender her – a heart wrenching decision for Vanna and her family. Vanna is about 1 ½-years old, spayed, up to date on shots, and very healthy. There is no history of her parents, but Vanna looks to be a boxer-pit bull mix. She is a high energy young girl and needs a good size yard to run or an active person or family to walk or run her. Vanna is good with all dogs, but does have a little jealous side and needs an experienced adopter who understands dogs and their language, or would love to be the only dog. The original family had a two-month old infant and Vanna was great with the baby. Vanna is house trained, crate trained, and even knows a few tricks. Her foster notes that Vanna’s desire to please her people exceeds any other dog she has met. Vanna is extremely lovable and wants to be with her people as much as possible. She has a great smile and the most wonderfully spotted ears; you just want to hug her. She will make an amazing companion and truly deserves a loving, forever home. Vanna is being fostered in Gainesville, VA.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Vanna, a Hanover Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Hanover, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in Hanover.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hanover already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hanover breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hanover paves the way for another one to be saved.
