Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hello everyone, my name is Joanie, and I am told I am a senior beagle at the age of 9. My foster mom said I act like I am a lot younger though. I still like to play, and I get very excited when I see food. I do a happy dance for dinner, and I will even bay if I have waited a long time.
The nice people at Midwest BREW pulled me from a local shelter where I was turned in by my former owner. They said I did not get along with the other dogs. I also tested positive for something called heartworm and had Lyme disease. I recently finished my treatments and can find my forever home.
My foster home has a few other dogs and I like most of them. I do not like when the other dogs come around my food, or when I am sleeping. I might be best in a home as an only dog because of this. If not, I will need someone who is very understanding of my temperament and willing to work with me.
My foster mom thinks I am a really nice dog, and will work well for the right person. She thinks I am very funny sometimes.
I am also very well crate trained and HOUSETRAINED. When you tell me to go potty, I pee outside. Thank you for thinking about adopting me, and remember, Never overlook a senior dog, he just might become your very best friend.
