Doogie Doug's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Doogie Doug's Story...
My name is Doogie and I just turned six years old! 2/11/13. I am a black lab mix with beautiful long legs and a shiney coat. I am a tall boy and weigh about 75 pounds.

I travel well in a car and like to look out the window once in a while and let my ears flap in the breeze.

I have my own kennel, some bedding and toys. I like to sleep on a BIG doggie bed. I have mastered the use of a doggie door and am housebroken. I know the commands: sit, wait, no, good boy, shake, walk and let’s go!

I am a little shy at first, but warm up to anyone in no time. I am very sociable and like camping, hiking, the beach, dog parks, parties, outdoor events, picnics and swimming. I love kids and like to play, but I do not like cats.

I love to go on walks (at least once a day) and do not get tired easily. I get along well with other dogs. I get very excited when my leash comes out!

My perfect forever family would be a family with children who can give me lots of lovin’ and attention and take me on daily walks. I'm ready...are you?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Doogie Doug, a Torrance Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Torrance, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Torrance.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Torrance already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Torrance breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Torrance paves the way for another one to be saved.
