Ernie's Story...
Ernie is just adorable! He is the very laid back typical hound type. He would love to be your companion and sit at your feet while you watch TV or read a book. He loves to go for long walks, rides in the car and is just happy to be by your side. He is approximately 4 years old and was picked up as a stray by local animal control and taken to a high kill shelter where we grabbed him up as soon as we saw how precious he was. He will make some family a wonderful companion so be the first to grab up this scrumptuous boy! If interested, please contact adalovesdogs@gmail.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ernie, a Sherman Basset Hound/Redbone Coonhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basset Hound/Redbone Coonhound for sale in Sherman, or seeking a Basset Hound/Redbone Coonhound dog from a breeder in Sherman.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sherman already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sherman breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basset Hound/Redbone Coonhound breeders who help with Basset Hound/Redbone Coonhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sherman paves the way for another one to be saved.
