I am a special needs pet and not good with kids.
Zeke is part of the group of chinchillas that was from a hoarder. He is a Heterogeneous Beige chinchilla or Hetero Beige as commonly called. He does need more socialization over time but he has come a long way from when he was first brought into the rescue. Zeke would suit a home where he could get lots of attention and finally see what being a pet is.
Zeke is bonded to Ernie and the two are to be adopted together. Ernie is a Speical Needs chinchilla as he has a leaking right eye. The eye tends to leak for a couple of weeks and then stops. Teeth issues, infection and bacteria have all been ruled out and this seems to be a chronic condition.

We started this rescue as chinchilla lovers who were approached to help chins in need. After helping a few chins it became clear that we needed to start up a rescue. Our goal is to help any chin in need and find them a FURever home. We will do our best to never turn down a chinchilla that needs our help.
You are free to meet the chins and see what it's like to own them. An appointment is necessary.
Our adoption process involves filling out a form on our site after reading www.petchinchillas.info site. After which we go over the application and have follow up questions. We then will have you come by to the main rescue foster and meet the chins. After you have seen them we will tell you if you are approved or not and for you to get set up for your new chinchilla. In a week or so you are able to pay the fee, sign an adoption contract and take home your chinchilla.
Currently we are mostly based in the GTA area however we have had chinchillas adopted as far as New Orleans. We have fosters in Quebec, Toronto and Mississauga.
