Tansy's Story...
Hello! It's me, Tansy! I'm a 3 year old spayed Shepherd mix. I have the most beautiful black coat and white spot on my chest. I love people very much and my favorite thing to do is to sit right next you for some lovin. I'm calm and friendly and wag my tail all the time! I also know "SIT"! Don't you have room in your home and heart for me? We will live happily ever after!
*Note that Tansy was surrendered with another family dog after there was a dog fight in their home and 1 of the dogs did not survive. The owner kept 1 dog and surrendered the other 2. We don't know the details of the fight. Tansy and the other dog surrendered have not had any issues at the shelter.

**Spayed, microchipped and up-to-date on vaccinations**

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tansy, a McKinney Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in McKinney, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in McKinney.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in McKinney already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a McKinney breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in McKinney paves the way for another one to be saved.
